Charles is an Architect with over 35 years of experience in New Zealand, having worked with various small to medium-sized architectural practices and building consultancies. For five years, he operated his own architectural practice. His skills encompass design, documentation, procurement, and contract administration. Charles has designed a range of building types, including residential dwellings, multi-unit developments, aged care facilities, industrial buildings, educational buildings, gymnasia, and commercial office fit-outs. He specializes in insurance reinstatement and remediation of weathertightness issues. Charles is well-versed in the NZ Building Code and has completed over 400 insurance projects in the past 15 years.

Kevin McLeod is a specialist Senior Building Surveyor at Hampton Jones, focusing on weathertightness issues. With over 45 years in the construction industry, he has worked with New Zealand's largest property trusts, owners, occupiers, investors, insurers, and lenders. Kevin is a leading weathertightness expert and provides valuable advice on building performance and detailed design. He mentors transitional NZIBS members and trainee RICS applicants, especially in Expert Witness roles and weathertightness issues. His extensive technical experience spans projects in the UK, Canada, and South Africa. Kevin has served as a Lead Expert Witness in numerous claims, totaling over $200 million.

With extensive experience in structural projects in New Zealand and overseas, Irwin has developed significant expertise in structural engineering. Working in Christchurch post-2011 earthquakes gave him insight into design and strengthening for earthquake loading. At Hampton Jones, Irwin leads the structural engineering team, focusing on pre-purchase assessments, Initial and Detailed Seismic Assessments, and building alteration designs. He emphasises practical solutions and strong communication to resolve site issues efficiently and avoid delays. Irwin leads by example, ensuring team understanding of project requirements.

His qualifications include CIOB and CECA. At Hampton Jones, Dan provides cost estimates for new classrooms, earthquake/fire damage remediation, strengthening, and weather-tightness projects. He is knowledgeable about the property markets in both countries.
